Who I Work With
I often work with those suffering from any form of emotional dysregulation. I have a deep passion for helping those recover a sense of self after they have experienced bullying or other forms of abuse. Helping couples discover new grounds for healthy communication and increased affection is another client focus area.

At Upward Counseling Collective, Travis serves as our Executive Director and as a Licensed Professional Counselor. He currently works with adult and teenage individuals dealing with social anxieties, career issues, motivational struggles, and improving relational development while using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Adlerian-based approaches.
In addition to traditional talk therapy, Travis enjoys incorporating expressive arts, sand tray therapy, and non-clinical relationship activities such as board games or walk and talks for those who need a more interactive experience. When working with couples, Travis incorporates his completed trainings in level 1 and level 2 of Gottman Method Couples Therapy as well as his certification as a Prepare Enrich Facilitator into the counseling work.
Travis’ passion is to help others return to the joy of life they once had and experience the hope in the potential future ahead of them. Counseling is a place where you can collaborate and work together on finding solutions to life’s issues by exploring what you really need to heal and grow into becoming a more stable individual or couple.
Ultimately, his goal when working with clients is to help them understand how the past impacts them, how our self-talk affects our progress, and how building new coping strategies to unbearable emotions or thoughts can pave the way to new, healthy changes. Whatever your goals might be, it will be a welcome place to work on them, no matter where you're starting.
While counseling can be intimidating because of the vulnerability it requires of you, Travis is focused on ensuring that you are safe, known, equipped with the right tools, and have the chance to develop a sense of confidence that you can live this life well. Your experiences will be met with the highest level of respect, dignity, and compassion.
